I was always a little bit suspicious of those ultrasonic rodent/pest repellents – until I bought one. Thankfully we don’t get mice or rats around our house (thanks to all the snakes! eek!), but this year I’ve been finding cockroaches everywhere. In the bath, in the sink, even in my shoes! I eventually weakened and gave up fighting the cynic in me, and bought an ultrasonic pest repellent device – and shockingly, it actually works. I’ve got it plugged into the wall socket next to my fridge, and I haven’t seen a single cockroach since. It’s either a fabulous coincidence, or these things actually work.
