These have to be one of the coolest kids ‘toys’ I’ve ever seen. Power Wheels are battery operated kids vehicles manufactured by Fisher-Price. These things look tough! There’s an awesome selection of models to chose from - including lots of different versions of Nascar, Jeep, Mustang, Escalade, Ford F-150, and even a Harley-Davidson. Most of them are available in a rugged ‘explorer’ model, and also a bright pink Barbie edition.

The Little Tikes 8 in 1 playground makes going to the park almost obsolete! All the individual parts interlock together (no tools required!), and it cleans down with soapy water - you can even set it up inside if you’re got the space.

The original Transformers toys were definitely cool back in the 80s, and although I wasn’t huge fan, I still managed to collect about 10 of the original G1 Transformers. In this award-winning board game for three or four players, Catan is an imaginary unexplored island, and players are explorers and settlers. Settlers of Catan’s playing surface is made of hexagonal tiles that, depending on their placement, create a different environment each time the game is played. There’s a robber on the island, and that renegade can show up at any time to steal your valuable resources.
