Blokus is a strategy board game that encourages creative thinking, it’s good for you too - it even received a Mensa award for promoting healthy brain activity! The goal of this game is for players to fit all of their pieces onto the board. When placing a piece it may not lie adjacent to the player’s other pieces, but must be placed touching at least one corner of their pieces already on the board. The player who gets rid of all of their tiles first is the winner and strategic thinking helps as you block moves from your opponent. Think you’re smart? Want to make your friends look like idiots? I really thought the whole Webkinz phenomenon would have been over by now, but it seems that the kids just can’t get enough. The latest (and cutest) Webkinz to hit the stores is the Webkinz Duck. The Webkinz designers will eventually have to start running out of cute animals to release … how long until we see the Webkinz rat?

One of favorite books as a child was Maurice Sendak’s wonderful ‘Where The Wild Things Are‘. It was scary, thrilling, and enchanting all at once. I’ve just found these great Where The Wild Things Are McFarlane toys for sale, and am going to have to really fight not to go nuts and buy the whole colllection.

These have to be one of the coolest kids ‘toys’ I’ve ever seen. Power Wheels are battery operated kids vehicles manufactured by Fisher-Price. These things look tough! There’s an awesome selection of models to chose from - including lots of different versions of Nascar, Jeep, Mustang, Escalade, Ford F-150, and even a Harley-Davidson. Most of them are available in a rugged ‘explorer’ model, and also a bright pink Barbie edition.
