After seeing Gordon Ramsay using a mandolin slicer, I decided that maybe they were worth trying, so last week I went out and purchased one. I can’t believe how cool it is. We’ve been using it to make REALLY nice sweet potato fries, and it’s an absolute winner for slicing onion (especially for burgers and salads). For such a cheap piece of plastic, it’s a surprisingly elegant and super efficient kitchen tool.
