I’ve been thinking about getting myself a new sub-notebook. I love my clunky old 15″ Presario M2000 (with the gorgeous glossy screen) – but it’s just too big and heavy to be truly portable, and I want something I can throw in my backpack without having to worry about it too much. I’ve been looking at the range of ASUS Eee PC notebooks, and although they’re really good value, I’m very tempted to throw a few extra dollars around and get the sexier MSI Wind. I’ve always been a sucker for MSI stuff, I don’t know why – maybe it’s the incredibly naive names they use, like … ermmm, Wind. I mean who would seriously name their product “Wind”. Only MSI, and I love ‘em for it. I’ve had some hands on experience with some of the older Eee PCs, and I like them – I just need to find a store that will let me have a serious play with a Wind before I make a decision.
